Back in Dijon for a quick weekend, I’m taking this time in my hometown to discover the Morning Glory Café, coffee shop that just opened. For once, I forgot about the usual espresso-t, and went to explore this discrete coffee place. Discrete, but on everyone’s lips these days, and I understand why. The coffee shop, that opened on March 3rd, is truly amazing!
The Place
The environment is what first caught my eye. The interior is bright and minimalist, in a pure Scandinavian fashion, which as you know is my favourite. The place has been designed to spend a cosy time with friends, or to grab a seat and work on the big wooden table, canteen style (there is even free WiFi!). I am crazy about the lights and the counter with azulejos, so Lisboa! Bonus point for the outside tables, perfect for the upcoming sunny days!
The menu
The Morning Glory Café menu is very complete: you can find the essentials of every trendy coffee shop – hello Chai Latte ♡ – and we will not complain about it, but you can also find original drinks like the hot blond chocolate, which is a true delight which I highly recommend! However, the Morning Glory Café is more than just a simple coffee shop: you can also grab breakfast, lunch, and even brunch (all day actually, which is so rare in France it needs to be mentioned!) for the greediest of all. A simple but efficient menu!
For my first time there, I tried the Chai Latte and the blond chocolate, I will come back later on to have a go at the rest!
The atmosphere
A super nice service. A need to just stay on this couch all day: you really feel at home. We also really like the green and eco-friendly atmosphere and products. PS: if you walk in with a reusable mug, you get a €0.20 discount! How cool is that?
The Morning Glory Café is totally worth a try, for a quick coffee, or for a cosy afternoon. A big congrats to Augustin & Félicie, may the adventure carry on the same way it started. Do not hesitate to visit: 25 rue des Godrans.
